Spring self-storage guide
Spring has finally arrived, and the weather is finally beginning to warm up! Not only is the season change a good time to become more active and enjoy the outdoors, but it is also the perfect opportunity to do some “spring-cleaning” in your storage unit.
Over the winter, your unit probably became a home to many items that had no use during colder months. Anything from landscaping tools—such as a lawnmower—to something as large as a boat, winter storage can take up a lot of space at home, let alone your storage unit. Now that the weather is beginning to warm up, it is the perfect time to swap out your winter gear for things you will need throughout spring and going into summer.
What items will you not need now that winter is over? Your closet can free up plenty of space now that you no longer need bulky and heavy clothing to keep you warm. While you should probably keep a light sweater or long sleeve shirt, you most likely will not need heavy winter coats and clothing meant to help you survive freezing weather.
If you haven’t done so yet, it’s probably time to store away your seasonal decorations. Since you probably won’t need your Christmas lights, and other decorations for almost a year, you should store them away in your unit to clear up space for more seasonally appropriate items you can put to use this spring and summer.
Hollywood Self Storage has multiple size units for you to choose from, no matter what you need to store away this spring. For more information on unit sizes, and rates, click here!
